The Demico Power Factor Transducer and Control (PC) was designed to be used primarily away from a substation at a remote bank of capacitors that are used for power factor correction. The PC monitors and controls the power factor of a single phase circuit from - .75 to + .75. The PC has two set points that are field adjustable by using a voltmeter and adjusting to a reference voltage between 1 and 5 VDC against a chart supplied with the unit. One set point sets the point of activation and the other for deactivation. There is a five minute timer that starts at time of activation and deactivation to provide for safe switching of the Capacitor Bank. |
